Empowering Early Childhood Education in Benyadze: Michael Kunke Foundation and RazorSpire Provide Teaching and Learning Materials

The Michael Kunke Foundation, in collaboration with RazorSpire, has successfully delivered essential Teaching and Learning Materials (TLMs) to Daber Benyadze Egyei M/A Basic ‘B’ School, a public school in Benyadze. This marks the first project for 2025 under the Foundation’s Education Empowerment for Sustainable Communities (EESC) initiative.

Located in a predominantly farming community, the school faces significant challenges as many parents struggle to provide basic stationery and educational supplies for their children. The preschool section, comprising Kindergarten 1 (18 children) and Kindergarten 2 (12 children), has particularly felt the impact of these limitations. Teachers, despite their dedication, have had to navigate these resource constraints while striving to deliver quality education.

As part of this intervention, the Foundation supplied colorful alphabet and number matsinteractive puzzle boardseducational posters featuring animals, numbers, and letters, and counting aids. These materials will help create an engaging learning environment, making lessons more interactive and accessible for young learners. The TLMs will be distributed across Kindergarten classrooms, Class One, and the community nursery.

Akosua Asarebea Otu, Assistant Head at the Early Childhood Department, emphasized the impact of this intervention, stating, “These resources will go a long way in supporting both teachers and learners, ensuring a more engaging and effective learning process. We are committed to making the most of them for the benefit of the children.”

This initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) – Quality Education, which seeks to ensure inclusive and equitable education for all. By equipping schools in underserved communities with essential learning tools, the Michael Kunke Foundation and its partners are fostering long-term educational sustainability and community development.

This project was generously funded by RazorSpire, which has pledged continued support for the Foundation’s educational initiatives. Their commitment ensures that more schools in resource-limited communities will benefit from much-needed interventions in the coming months.

The Michael Kunke Foundation remains dedicated to driving educational transformation by providing tools that empower children, support educators, and uplift communities. With the support of partners like RazorSpire, we are poised to make a lasting impact on the future of education in Ghana.
