Our Work
The Kunke Foundation donated classroom furniture worth approximately GHC4,000 to the school, the third such donation the Foundation had made in the region.
- Classroom Furniture: 36 chairs, 1 teacher’s table, 3 round tables for children, and 6 big tables were delivered.
- Comfort & Ventilation: Two ceiling fans were also installed to improve classroom conditions.
“…and as a Foundation that supports education in the country we thought it wise to support Agona Amanful Mensakrom Methodist Primary School,” said Joana Kunke, co-founder of The Kunke Foundation.
The school’s headmistress welcomed the donation and appealed to other NGOs, philanthropists and civil society organisations to support the school further, including with computers and additional teaching and learning aids, a request Michael Kunke pledged to help meet.
Impact
The new furniture gave pupils and teachers a safer, more comfortable place to learn and teach, and opened the door to further support, including a pledge from the Foundation to provide computers and additional teaching and learning materials.
