MKF and RazorSpire Deliver Early Learning Materials to Benyadze Basic School

BENYADZE, GHANA — Strengthening foundational education in rural agrarian communities, the Michael Kunke Foundation has partnered with technology firm RazorSpire to deliver essential Teaching and Learning Materials (TLMs) to the Daber Benyadze Egyei M/A Basic ‘B’ School in Benyadze. Marking the Foundation’s inaugural project under the Education Empowerment for Sustainable Communities (EESC) initiative, the outreach specifically targets resource gaps in local preschool and primary classes.

Bridging Resource Gaps in Agrarian Communities

Situated within a predominantly farming area, the school has historically faced severe material constraints, with many local households struggling to procure basic stationery and educational supplies. These limitations particularly affected the preschool division encompassing 18 children in Kindergarten 1 and 12 pupils in Kindergarten 2, forcing educators to navigate tight resource deficits while delivering early-years instruction.

To transform the learning environment, the intervention supplied a comprehensive suite of interactive tools, including:

  • Tactile Learning Assets: Colorful alphabet and number mats alongside interactive puzzle boards designed to stimulate cognitive engagement.

  • Visual Aids: Educational wall posters illustrating animals, numbers, and foundational letters.

  • Numeracy Support: Specialised counting aids distributed across kindergarten classrooms, Class One, and the community nursery.

Educator Perspectives and Sustainable Development Goals

Akosua Asarebea Otu, Assistant Head of the Early Childhood Department, underscored the significance of the donation, noting that the resources directly empower teachers to create a more dynamic and effective pedagogical process.

By equipping underserved rural schools with critical infrastructure and learning tools, the initiative directly advances Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) on inclusive and equitable quality education. Funded through a valued partnership with RazorSpire, which has pledged sustained backing for future community interventions the project reinforces the Foundation’s long-term commitment to driving educational transformation across Ghana.
